About the Chef

Our chef Tom Coughlan is a third generation chef. Growing up in the back of his grandparents restaurant he gained a passion for food at a young age. After attending business school at Fordham he attended culinary school at the Institute of Culinary Education. 

He has worked in various levels of restaurant and food establishments in New York City. Notably working at Txikito, La Vara, and Seamstress. Most recently he was the opening executive chef for Sunken Hundred. Now he is focusing on bringing unique culinary experiences to private parties and expanding palettes at his pop ups.

He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Becca, dog Jeanie, and cat Peavey.

About the Food

My style is uniquely my own. I enjoy mixing foraged, seasonal, and fermented ingredients into dishes as well as using the unloved, the ingredients you may have never seen, heard of, or thrown away. If you are looking for a meal that will familiar, but different, then I am the chef for you. I could write a lot about my style, my philosophies, and such but I will let the food do the talking for me.
